We like to keep it relaxed, cute, romantic and fun. If they’re stiff, switch things up. If the’yre nervous, remind them how amazing they look and how easy everything will be. Remind them that it really is just them hanging out and you snapping photos of their hang, or date.

Here are some tips for a flawless session

I usually test my light with some super basic “just look at the camera and smile shots”

From there you can have them face each other and just “hang out, and be together”

I usually say, just be together for a little bit. And I grab some shots from far away, and up close.

TIP - GET NEAR, GET FAR, GET HIGH, GET LOW.

shoot different perspectives, work their hands into the frame somehow.

WALKING SHOTS

Dont “Pose”

“DIRECT”

Direct them to walk to a certain area where the light might be cool, tell them to hang out there for a little, direct them to walk back like they are a little drunk. Have them do this twice, the second time have them run back instead of walk. This will loosen them up a little bit and they will begin to have fun instead of being nervous!

Have one person walk a head of the other, you can have them switch and simply turn around and walk the other way then,

WAlk or run towards eachother

This one can be cool and fun. Have them give eachother a big hug or push when they meet in the middle of the frame for some cute shots. Or have him pick her up and spin her around.

Run towards eachother and give eachother a HUGE messy hug!

GET CLOSE

GET YOUR LIPS CLOSE, BUT DONT KISS, AND DON’T MAKE THE KISSY FACE!

SNUGGLE FROM BEHIND

REMEMBER: ALL OF THESE POSES (EXCEPT WALKING) CAN BE DONE SITTING DOWN, LAYING DOWN OR STANDING. SWITCH THINGS UP AND HAVE THEM SIT, LAY DOWN, LAY INTO EACHOTHER, AND SNUGGLE. ALWAYS HAVE THEIR HANDS AT SOME POINT OF CONNECTION)

WHISPER BREAKFAST FOODS TRICK!

Just a fun little prompt to get them laughing. The best laugh is the initial one once I tell him to do that, so be sure to capture that first moment of giggles when they hear your silly prompt! Its always the best one.
